SDK 1.2 error

I was using SDK 1.1 and upgraded to SDK 1.2, but now whenever I try to run any Brook+ program I get:

"
No CAL devices available
Could not release constant memory.
Could not free constant memory.
Could not release constant ring memory.
Could not free constant ring memory.
...
Could not release constant ring memory.
Could not free constant ring memory.
Could not destroy cal context.
Could not close cal device.
Unable to initialize CAL runtime, falling back to CPU
"

I've the following setups, both with the same problem:
Radeon 4850, Athlon 4850E, 4 Gb RAM
1. WinXP 64 SP2: Catalyst 8.8, VS2005, upgraded from SDK 1.1
2. WinXP 32 SP3: Catalyst 8.8, VS2008, clean firsetream installation

Any ideas?
