the sample hangs in my box

Hi All,

I'm running Ubuntu 8.4. The GPU is HD3690 with fglrx 8.501 (ATI Catalyst 8.6),  and the sdk is v1.1-beta.

Firstly, I encountered "Locking assertion failure" error with the brook+ sample. I solved it by installing noxcb lib from http://people.ubuntu.com/~bryce/Testing/libx11/.  Then, I'm running hello_brook sample successfully.

Howerver, the simple_matmult sample hangs and I must reset the pc. When I set BRT_RUNTIME=cpu, it's running correctly.

I'm just a user but it sounds like the HD3690 doesn't support some feature used in that sample. Unfortunately, AMD doesn't have good documentation for Firestream yet (what supports what and where), so it's a crap shoot.
