GPU Shader Analyzer and ATI 4850

  Hi,

   Release Note from GPU ShaderAnalyzer v1.43 says that offers support for Radeon HD 4870. We have Radeon 4850 and GPU Shader Analyzer does not generate code for our board.

  Considering that  both  4850 and 4870 have the same processor  why 4850 is not suppported?

I had the same problem. Please refer to this thread:

It looks as though the RV770 is not yet supported for Brook+ in GPU Shader Analyzer so you get RV670 instead (3870). Once RV770 is supported it looks as though you should be able to use 4870 (since 4850 and 4870 are RV770).
