Could someone recommend the best motherboards that have 4 PCI Express v2.0 x16 slots, which will allow to plug 4 cards with 3870 HD GPUs to be used for stream computing? (Each of these cards takes space for 2 slots.) It would be great if there is a separete PCI slot that will not be overlapped by the 4 cards.

The motherboards should take ECC emory that is as fast as possible, but at least 800 MHz.

How about motherboards like the above that have 1 CPU socket?

How about 2 CPU sockets?

And how about 4 CPU sockets?

there are separete PCI slot that will not be overlapped by the 4 graphic cards;
but only if you use 3870 single slot card like for example the sapphire toxic vapor chamber technology they will take only 1 slot instead of 2 slot like other 3870 models.

For a dual CPU or quad CPU and 4 GPU there is the Tyan company
you can find on internet .
