Video card fan loud noise

Hello. I currently have an amd radeon r9 200 hd 7900 series video card, a 7970 to be precise. most of the time the fan run quietly and works well but when i play a game it starts to get loud. It is a duel fan video card and the fan on the left is the one that is making the noise.

Could that be from the speed that the fan is spinning in an attempt to keep the card cool?

what is a good rec fan speed to set it to as atm it has it auto set to 47%

It might be a result of too much strain on the Video Card or the PC...

The Game might be using too much power, & your PC may not be able to handle it...
or you are messing with Settings causing the issues...

Most Cases, it's prob a PC Hardware problem... & best case you probably need an Upgrade,
no?

Knowing more about your PC, other Specs, & what Game your playing,
might help more with Solving the issue...

most likely the old card is having problems with game workloads and its time to look at a new one

look at it this way, a new card will pay for itself with power savings as new cards are more efficient
