Monitor keeps disconnecting and reconnecting when it is asleep

I just installed a Sapphire RX 580 8Gb Special Edition, and am using two monitors, a BenQ GL2760 over HDMI, and a HannsG HH251D over DVI-D.

The monitors are set to switch off after e.g. 3 minutes in power management, and when they have switched off, the HH251D continually disconnects and reconnects every ~10 seconds, with the disconnect and reconnect sounds.

Using EventGhost I am able to capture the events:

System.DeviceRemoved [u'\\\\?\\DISPLAY#HSD2212#5&259e1ade&2&UID778#{e6f07b5f-ee97-4a90-b076-33f57bf4eaa7}']

System.DeviceAttached [u'\\\\?\\DISPLAY#HSD2212#5&259e1ade&2&UID778#{e6f07b5f-ee97-4a90-b076-33f57bf4eaa7}']

System.DeviceRemoved [u'\\\\?\\DISPLAY#HSD2212#5&259e1ade&2&UID778#{e6f07b5f-ee97-4a90-b076-33f57bf4eaa7}']

System.DeviceAttached [u'\\\\?\\DISPLAY#HSD2212#5&259e1ade&2&UID778#{e6f07b5f-ee97-4a90-b076-33f57bf4eaa7}']

Also, device manager does not recognise the HH251D, and calls it a "Universal PnP Monitor" (but with the correct Device ID - and it was recognised and functioned correctly when using an Nvidia card just a few days ago) , and Advanced Display Settings recognises it as "HH251D" along with Radeon Settings, but neither gives the full manufacturer and part number, unlike the BenQ GL2760.

Anyone know what could be the issue/fix?

TIA

Incase this helps anyone, this issue was fixed when I noticed NvidiaContainer was still installed and running on my system for some reason. It must have been an auto-install by windows as I used the display driver cleaner tool in safe mode, and (thought) I switched off auto-windows-driver-installs when removing my previous Nvidia GPU.

But, with the Nvidia stuff manually removed, the 2nd display doesn't dis and reconnect when it is put to sleep. Also fixed the issue that when the 2nd monitor was manually switched off but connected via display cable to the GPU, and the system was awake the whole system would freeze brielfy every few seconds (so had to be switched back on).

Anyway Nvidia bloatware is invasive!
