rx 580 getting bad fps?

  • AMD Graphics Card
    • AMD RX 580

  • Operating System
    • Windows 10 64bit
  • Driver version installed
    • Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.11.2

  • RAM
    • 16GB Dual Channel @ 2666MHz

Describe your issue:

  • In every game I play, I'm getting less than optimal fps. Benchmarks on youtube say I should be getting 160 fps in Rocket League, but I'm getting 40fps. It's the same way for every other game. GPU Usage seems to fluctuate a lot, rarely hitting 100% and temps are fine, around 30c.
  • Games Affected: Rocket League, GTAV, H1Z1, TF2, Rust, Minecraft.
  • Graphical settings used in the application/game: 1080p High/Ultra in all games.

Problem solved, CPU was stuck at 1500 MHz, and has been for over 1 year (I haven't experienced the full CPU power for 1 year...) and I took it out and reinstalled it and it's good now.

Ouch.. what a waste of a year. So how are feeling about the 580 and the Ryzen now? Is it performing to your liking?

ASUS TUF X570 wifi, AMD Ryzen 5 5600G, ASRock 6700XT Challenger, Antec Truepower new 700w. 32GB

Yeah, I'm getting the performance I expected in games, and I upgraded to a

ryzen 5 2600 and it's even better. With my old CPU it always seemed to get

slightly lower fps that benchmarks online and I never noticed the 1500MHz

on the CPU. Bios always said 3.1GHz, but radeon settings and nzxt cam both

said 1.5 ghz. I'm glad its solved now though.
