third monitor setup

I just put a XFX R5 220 into my HP desktop. It has quad core processor and 8 GB of ram. I can only get two monitors to work at a time. The card came with 1 DVI, 1 HDMI,and 1 VGA. I when the HDMI is used, only that monitor and one of the others works. Any help is great, otherwise I'm returning this card for a EVGA that states 3 monitor support (as did this one).
