18.5.1 Reduces my resolution to 1024x768 and now I can't revert to previous drivers

I just upgraded my RX Vega 64 drivers over an hour ago to 18.5.1 and it has become a total nightmare. The new drivers reduce my resolution from 3840x2160 down to 1024x768 and locks it in place. I can't do anything about it other than uninstall. When it is uninstalled it goes back to my native resolution but then I'm stuck with Windows drivers. I keep trying to install the previous driver on my computer, 18.2.1, but  it decides to download 18.5.1 again and puts me in a Catch 22. It's really annoying now that I have no idea how to fix this and can't do anything gpu intensive at this point. My Vega 64 is no better than integrated graphics now. Please help!

Thank you very much! I was ready to tear my hair out. This method even fixed a problem I had even before updating the drivers so it's a win win.
