A8 3500, radeon hd6620g amd catalyst control current version 15.201.1511-5082a-184724E avalible update 17.50.17.03-180131a

A8 3500, radeon hd6620g amd catalyst control current version 15.201.1511-5082a-184724E avalible update 17.50.17.03-180131a

When I select to go to the amd driver page and input the apu, get the message drivers will be through win10 updates; but on a clean

insatll of wi10, installed catalyst control current version 15.201.1511-5082a-184724E.

The cpu-gpu was an upgrade from a dual core about two years ago and no other upgrade is available for this hp g7.

Reason for the question, having installed the  crimson beta driver some time ago, had issues with cpu core clock hitting

the max frequency of 2.4 ghz and not throttling down.

As I do not want to have the same issues, would like to know if anyone has used the 17.50.17.03-180131a driver on this cpu or other

similar a8 cpu's ?

Your GPUs on your Laptop is considered to be Legacy. AMD doesn't support any more updates on your laptop gpus.

The only available drivers for your laptop is through Microsoft via Windows Update. Whatever Windows Update installs for your GPU that will be the only driver available.

I inputted you APU data at AMD Support and this is what popped up: Windows® 10 Driver for APUs Supporting up to WDDM 1.2 and DirectX® 11

Thanks for the verification on this as it was the same results I got when entering the data.

Will just stay on 15.201.1511-5082a-184724E and ignore what catalyst control is finding.
