Will a Ryzen processor work with a MSI 970A gaming pro carbon mother board?

This is my stats and I have a MSI 970A gaming pro carbon mother board. I want to know if i can upgarde my processor to a ryzen processor. If yes, which ryzen processors you guys perfer or if not, what is the highest processor I can go that can handle 2K or 4K?

(Trying to stream at a 2k/4k level ^^;)

NO!

The Ryzen processors use the new AM4 socket.

The motherboard you have uses the AM3+ socket.

Check MSI's website for the compatible processors for your motherboard.
