I downloaded the win7-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-edition-17.12.1-dec11.exe and I am having trouble installing the display drivers and settings.

Can you provide more information, are you receiving an error message?

OK. So I have recently tried to start fresh by uninstalling using the amdcleanuputility.exe  and then install the radeon-software-adrenalin-18.1.1-minimalsetup-180118_web.exe where I get the "Radeon Software (17.12.1) has not been installed. Error 1603....". Using an express install.

I made another attempt where I uninstalled using amdcleanuputility.exe and then proceeded to install radeon-software-adrenalin-17.12.1-minimalsetup-171211_64bit.exe custom intall. I got the same error message as before. This is the log for this installation.

Why are you installing the 'minimal setup'?

Is Windows fully updated?

** Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 must be fully updated before attempting to install any AMD driver. All 'critical', 'recommended', and 'optional' (no language packs,etc) updates as well as any Service Packs (SP) must be installed before any attempt to install graphics drivers. If you do not get this message .... keep installing until you do:

I am getting a "No important updates available" but 35 optional updates are available. On the optional I am being offered silverlight and skype which is weird because I uninstalled both a long time ago.

I still get those offered as well and I also deleted those programs when installing the OS...however, the latest update there were multiple .netframework fixes and updates as well. More than I have ever seen at one time. All of the important updates that AMD requires are 'optional'.

Well for some reason I installed win7-64bit-radeon-software-adrenalin-edition-18.2.2-feb12.exe and Radeon Settings states that I have installed 17.50.17.04-180206a-32406... and that 18.2.2 is recommended yet windows programs list states I have installed 18.2.2.
