Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.00 Ghz 16.0 Gigs windows 10 listing as up to date
Purchased this computer less than a week ago. Installed Steam and the graphics
unit was recognized. Next day tried running an old game on steam (something this computer could easily
handle) and was notified that no graphics card was present. Tried to activate the Radeon Settings tab and only
received the message that "no amd drivers were installed or not functioning properly."
Checked this message board for advice. First used Radeon installer to try and uninstall
the drivers and then used auto-detect on amds support page to reinstall the correct drivers.
After the new driver tried to install a message appeared stating, "components are already installed."
However it appeared that the amd drivers were absent from the computer since amd wasn't in program
files and the Radeon Settings tab was missing.
Next tried the amd clean uninstall software and driver reinstall and received the same
message of components are already installed. Also saw something about DDU but not sure
how to use it safely. Haven't used windows since XP. Not sure what is still on there or how to get rid
of it to reinstall properly. Any help greatly appreciated.
