i respond you using AMD:

An Update on AMD Processor Security | AMD

and Google:

https://googleprojectzero.blogspot.it/2018/01/reading-privileged-memory-with-side.html

Variant 3 is Meltdown...RYZEN is NOT affected with this vulnerability. Last decade Intel CPUs yes.

Variant 1 and 2 are Spectre.

This is a tool from Microsoft to discover if your CPU has these vulnerability:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4073119/windows-client-guidance-for-it-pros-to-protect-agai...

i'm an happy owner of a R7 1700X so i've run this test and the results are: hardware requires kernel VA shadowing: false

So Ryzen is not affected with Meltdown vulnerability, according to Microsoft too.

This is a very interesting article: Meltdown, Spectre: The password theft bugs at the heart of Intel CPUs • The Register

Apparently by what is said in internet ftpm has to be disabled. But it is possible that amd get a verification method as well as Intel?. It is possible for linux.
