We'd like to learn more about this issue, please can you both submit a bug report.
To the OP, have you tried using a different DisplayPort on the 480? What OS are you using? What DP cable are you using and how long is it?
Same questions for the Warren, and please provide more information about your system.
i too have been having issues. ive gone as far as a full system wipe and part by part stress test. issues don't occur with my 290 or 390. Using an Asus VG248QE 144Hz with a 6' DP cable, not sure what brand but they have lifetime warranty. I will get random display driver crashes at the desktop while using chrome, followed by a BSOD error message "VIDEO_SCHEDULER_INTERNAL_ERROR", i have already submitted a bug report
I have the same issues with my XFX Radeon RX 480 GTR Black Edition on my ASUS VG278HE Monitor using an DVI-D cable. If i use two monitors at once i can set up the ASUS to 144hz. If i switch back to the ASUS only, i can only set it up to 120hz max.
I deinstalled the Intel Graphics Driver and it gets much better.
Have you another Driver installed?
Deinstall it with DDU!
