How do you enable it in Crimson? (Or don't you have to?)
You enable it in the settings of the software that you use. Usually software, for example Firefox, Chrome, Photoshop, enable HWA by default. So, to answer your question - no, you don't enable it in Crimson, you enable it in the software you use if it's supported by it and not enabled by default.
You sure? In CCC you had to set it - AMD’s new Radeon Crimson software crushes Catalyst, boosts performance | ExtremeTech

Where? I have never seen hardware acceleration in any AMD control panel.
It looks like you have here - How do you enable video acceleration with Radeon Crimson software?
Though its in CCC rather than Crimson.
Thanks for your help. I'm new to AMD GPUs and especially to Crimson.
Ehm, I think that option is for the AVIVO or video converters? Might be mistaken. Anyway, I don't remember having this option in CCC and I didn't have it in Crimson panel either. I use 6850 card. Hardware Video Acceleration works just fine for me in Firefox, Chrome, PotPlayer (lncluding madVR, LAV and SVP), Photoshop CC and other software that supports HWA. No need for CCC to enable/disable it. As I said, you do this in the software options.
