query regarding power measurement using fam15h_power module

Hi All,

I want to measure power consumption of AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 6320. I found that it requires fam15h_power module to be loaded.

This module is loaded in my system, but I am not sure how to use it. Could you please let me know if there exist a set of API's which could be callled from user spacec to get the power consumption?

Or could you please redirect me to the proper forum if this is not the right forum?

Hi,

I had'nt used those APIs, but there is a open source tool called "lm-sensors" that knows how to read power sensors on this family of CPUs. I'd check it's source code first.
