Ubuntu 14.04 Release: OpenCL cannot see cards

Hi,

I have installed today the official Ubuntu Trusty 14.04 release. I downloaded and installed latest beta AMD driver and AMD APP SDK.

Here is aticonfig --lsa:

~$ sudo aticonfig --lsa* 0. 01:00.0 AMD Radeon R9 200 Series

  1. 02:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

  2. 03:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

  3. 05:00.0 AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

* - Default adapter

Unfortunately, clinfo sees only 1 GPU:

~$ clinfo | grep GPU

  Device Type: CL_DEVICE_TYPE_GPU

~$

fglrxinfo also sees only one. As for lspci:

  Device Type: CL_DEVICE_TYPE_GPU

~$ lspci | grep ATI

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tahiti XT [Radeon HD 7970/8970 OEM / R9 280X]

01:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tahiti XT HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 7970 Series]

02:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tahiti XT [Radeon HD 7970/8970 OEM / R9 280X]

02:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tahiti XT HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 7970 Series]

03:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tahiti PRO [Radeon HD 7950/8950 OEM / R9 280]

03:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tahiti XT HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 7970 Series]

05:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tahiti XT [Radeon HD 7970/8970 OEM / R9 280X]

05:00.1 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD/ATI] Tahiti XT HDMI Audio [Radeon HD 7970 Series]

~$

All worked fine before I upgraded from 13.10.

Please help I really need this to work.

Thanks a lot in advance.

I have also tried using the drivers fglrx-updates from ubuntu repository which gave me the very same results.

Bump. Same problem here on Ubuntu 14.04. "/usr/bin/clinfo" returns only 1 GPU. "amdconfig --lsa"returns 3 cards.
