Dear dorono,kalyanpk  ,

i want  to install the CodeXL tool on my  laptop but i am facing problem whenever i try to launch the CodeXL .

i am trying to launch CodeXL, following steps and error message as well.

CodeXL installation as root

#rpm -Uvh --nodeps CodeXL*.rpm

$cd /opt/AMD/CodeXL_1.3.3487/bin/

$./CodeXL

./CodeXL: line 41:  3400 Segmentation fault  (core dumped) /opt/AMD/CodeXL_1.3.3487/bin/./CodeXL-bin

my system specification:

CPU : Intel core-i5

GPU : AMD-radeon HD8670

OS :centos-6.5

Catalyst driver: amd-catalyst-13.12-linux-x86.x86_64

CodeXL:AMD_CodeXL_Linux-1.3.3487-0.x86_64.rpm

Could you please kindly provide me inputs to resolve this issue

Hi,

There seems to be a problem with the driver. One option is to reinstall the driver: Remove the driver and reinstalling it. If this does not help and you don't need the Kernel Analysis section of the CodeXL you can try removing the libAMDTKernelAnalyzer.so and try to load CodeXL with out it. It appears that the crash is in when that tools tries to initiate some component in the driver, so this might help you work with other components of CodeXL.
