Can't monitor headless OpenCL device (Linux)

Hi,

I'm trying to monitor a headless graphics card on Linux using aticonfig but it doesn't work.

It gives off an error that it wasn't able to get clock info for example.

The OpenCL application works as it should so long as I run it as root, but I can't monitor it (GPU usage/temps/clocks).

Anyway around this issue?

If i understand correctly, OpenCL is working fine for you. But you are using some other API (probably ADL) to query some GPU parameters. I will try to ask ADL team to know if some workaround exists. Can you confirm this is what you are trying?

I'm trying to use AMD OverDrive to get graphics card information (I'm not sure if ADL is utilized by it).

Well, I am also not familiar with this tool. Probably you should ask this here: http://devgurus.amd.com/community/gpu_developer_tools

Anyways I will ask my seniors and try to direct this question to relevant people.
