Issues creating an SLS for two projectors using FirePro V4900

I am having difficulty creating an SLS using Eyefinity on a FirePro V4900.  I am using two passive DP to HDMI adapters, 25ft HDMI cable to each projector.

Occasionally when creating the SLS, the software indicates success when in fact the two screens have been duplicated.  I haven't been able to consistently recreate the error, so I'm not sure on the root cause.  Eventually an SLS can be created, but usually after multiple attempts.

This problem has persisted from the original FirePro Software Suite (v8.xxx.x) to the updated v9.003.3.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

When the Eyefinity groups are created it happens that the connected displays lose the video signal for a short time. Some displays switch to a power saving state and won't react fast enough when the signal comes back. In this case you fail to create the SLS and end up with duplicated screens.  You can check if it is possible to turn off the power saving on the projector.
