The attached program produces a segmentation fault on AMD platform, but it can run successfully on NVIDIA platform. Could you help me find the reason?

I am using Catalyst 12.6 driver and APP SDK 2.7 on a computer with Red Hat Linux 6.2 OS and Radeon HD 7950 video card.

I have updated the Catalyst driver to 12.8 and the problem still exists.

I'm also having this issue, albeit with an HD 7970 on Ubuntu 12.04 with Catalyst 12.8 & APP 2.7 - I'm getting this happening both in (some of) my own code (all of which compiles & runs fine on an Nvidia GTX-680 / Intel's OpenCL SDK), and also the example posted by oscezrcd

As this is a critical blocker for us, can you provide any information as to when we can expect a fix?  Or even in more detail what exactly triggers this bug so that we can determine if it's feasible to work around it? - thanks.
