AMD-APP-SDK-v2.6-Windows-64.exe (208.8 MB)
Je suis sous windows 7 64 bits
cordialement.
The same but in english
Hello I wonder if the ATI 4870 (RV770) compatible with its OpenCL 1.2.
I've found that it was not with the OpenCL 1.1.J hope she will be with the OpenCL 1.2.
If it is,why I remain consistent block is version 1.0 while I put the 12.4 drivers compatible with version 1.2
and I install this:
AMD-APP-SDK-Windows-v2.6-64.exe (208.8 MB)
I have windows 7 64 bit
cordially.
Solved! Go to Solution.
All devices based on 7XX series of chips will only ever support OpenCL 1.0.
All devices based on 7XX series of chips will only ever support OpenCL 1.0.
But in this page
http://developer.amd.com/sdks/AMDAPPSDK/pages/DriverCompatibility.aspx#conformance
But on this page is marked as beta of OpenCL 1.2 is compatible with the 4870 cards.
Unless I make a mistake
Here is what is relevant from that page:
OpenCL™ 1.0 conformance logs submitted for the ATI Radeon™ HD 4800 Series GPUs, ATI Radeon™ 4600 Series GPUs, ATI FirePro™ V8700 Series GPUs, ATI FirePro™ V7700 Series GPUs, ATI FirePro™ V5700 Series GPUs, ATI FirePro™ V3700 Series GPUs, AMD FireStream™ 9200 Series GPU Compute Accelerators, ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4800 Series GPUs (Windows®), and ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD 4600 Series GPUs (Windows®).
Yeah, its beta support for OpenCL, but only supports OpenCL 1.0.
Version 1.0 of OpenCL is that it came out longtemp so it is no longer in beta.
So the only beta that speaks this page is version 1.2 so the card should support well the beta version 1.2 is no?
and here was the list of the card compatible.
Its not that OpenCL is in beta, but that all of the 7XX devices are in beta.
I'm sorry but I do not understand can be a cause of the phenomenon of translation.
7XXX devices supports version 1.0 that I comrpis.
But not the rest.
Is one day version 1.1 or 1.2 of OpenCL will be 7xxx devices compatible with
RV7XX(Most HD4XXX and some HD5XXX) devices will never support OpenCL 1.1 or 1.2, they don't have the hardware to satisfy the requirements of OpenCL.
This is Different than HD7XXX devices, which will support OpenCL 1.1/1.2.
I understand
thank you for your help.
