I am trying to install Catalyst 11.10 on Ubuntu 11.10. When I run a simple OpenCL code
only the onchip GPU is detected.
Is there a way to make fglrx detect the second GPU as well?

I already tried that one ... I even exported DISPLAY=:0
The problem is that even fglrxinfo returns only the integrated GPU ... it does not detect
the dgpu (a Cayman) alhough I run aticonfig --inititial --adapter=all
what return aticonfig --lsa
As you can see, only the Firepro is detected

that is strange. try run clinfo from SDK and output attach as code.
I did reinstall the driver 11.10 . Now only the APU is seen as an opencl device, the discrete GPU is not detected:

what is your xorg.conf file? i think you must specify BusID in it.
run lspci and you should get line like this

edit BusID so that three numbes are same as from lspci. it tels Xserver which card it should use.
also in BIOS should be some option to select primary graphic card or

in bios I seletced the GPU of the APU as the primary one (I dont have any switchable option though)
change BusID "PCI:0:1:0"
to BusID "PCI:1:0:0"
and then restart xserver or whole system.
after that you can duplicate that Device section so it maybe work with both GPUs.

also you can try remove xorg.conf (of course backup it). most of the time it work without it.
