For the most part, GPUPerfStudio does not have any dependencies on specific drivers. However, the Frame Profiler may not work if you do not have a Catalyst driver installed. Most notebook manufacturers will allow the Catalyst drivers from the AMD website to be installed, however you may be experiencing one of the few that prevent it.
