GPU internal to the APU not "visible" after Ubuntu Kernel upgrade 2.6.38-11

see abve

I have been working with catalyst 10.7 and SDK 2.5.

My system has APU (4 cores + GPU) plus a GPU on PCI. Before upgrading the kernel, I could see 2 GPUs and a CPU devices. After I can see only one GPU (PCI).

I upgraded the catalyst to 10.8 and reinstalled SDK 2.5. I can see only one GPU.

Please, let me know how I can debug the issue in more detail.

Thank you

Paolo

Could you please give us more details of Ubuntu?

The problem was the setting of the DISPLAY environment  (export DISPLAY=:0  instead of 0.0) using catalyst 10.8.

The ubuntu is  natty 10.4; the kernel is  2.6.38-11.

Is everything working fine after changing DISPLAY env variable.

Now when I run  clinfo I see 3 devices: GPU turk, GPU beavercreek and GPU.

I have not executed any of the AMP SDK samples, but I will be working on this project during the week-end

On a personal note, it will be nice to be able to access these GPUs without having X running.
