Is it expected to work on the CPU?

I'm using Linux and have been unable to get any information from the app profile tool that came bundled with APP SDK 2.4. I always get the "failed to generate profile result" error, and -k <anything> doesn't do anything either.

Is the tool meant for GPU use only? Is there no way to dump the ISA / AMDIL for CPU kernels?

Thank you for reporting this issue. APP Profiler should be able to profile a CPU kernel and dump x86 ISA.
