i have done according your advise. The proplem is still existing.
Will I need a new version of graphics card driver? If I need, where can i get it? The only way I can get the graphics card driver is from ASUS (I am using an ASUS notebook)website.
Hi guys, I have the same problem. I use an acer notebook with 6650m graphic card and 64bit win7 OS.
I didn't find the right driver to install. I guess maybe I can try to modify the newest desktop driver's inf file for installing.
I added
"AMD Radeon HD 6650M" = ati2mtag_NI, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_6741&SUBSYS_04891025
in the file, but it doesn't work.
how could i do?
I wonder if this tool will work?

I've done it several times, no ues. In fact, the 11.4 packet(11-4_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_ccc) doesnot include a graphics driver.
Do you mean that you do not find any driver at http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/windows/Pages/radeonmob_win7-64.aspx#2
This is link specific to Win7 64.

Yes. It does not include the graphics driver. I have to download from my notebook producer ASUS. It's version is V8.783.2.200. Why?
wow, even me I know the answer to this...
for the x64 platform: http://file2.mydrivers.com/display/11-5_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc.exe
for the x86 platform: http://file2.mydrivers.com/display/11-5_mobility_vista_win7_32_dd_ccc.exe
get this one, you've got always look for the packages with the "dd" mention on it, for display driver. Indeed, on amd page display drivers are not included, as notebook manufacturers usually provide update drivers (I hate this, by the way, as it is totally useless and they usually take a long time before releasing the updates after amd/nvdia release the official drivers).
Why no comments on this in here from AMD team? Are these non official packages? Would this be a mod? Do you encourage users to install them? I've done with the 11-3 ccc version on my HD5470 mobility (Sony notebook) and everything works just fine, including my opencl apps.
EDIT: @rahulgarg: this tool has been discontinued, although it has been really useful in the past. Hope one day these notebook manufacture releases will be gone, so useless!
The official download link for catalyst 11.5 works for me. Also I tried to open the link you mentioned but it doesn't open here.
I guess you should be able to download the latest drivers directly from the AMD site. Do you face these issues only with the notebooks or with desktop versions also? Please make sure your connection is working properly.
Thanks
Does the notebook actually somehow enforce not installing the official AMD download? I've heard that notebook manufacturers don't like you installing official drivers, but never actually seen a case where it was not possible to do so.
well, I can't argue on whatever pressure or arrangements AMD have with manufactures, and the AMD folks who read this forum wont tell anything about this neither, so the only thing I can tell is that these "dd" packages works just fine either for installation or usage. In the past days, when you launched the installation of the drivers from the AMD/NVIDIA .exe, it was really common to see "error" messages stating that the card ware not supported/compatible by/with the driver and one should check with the manufacturer for dedicated solution. That's why the old mods were created. But now it seems this is a little bit loosen, but I have no idea who have made concessions here. I don't even know who create these "dd" versions. About NVIDIA, I know that you can download from their web-site ant it works straightforward (at least for ASUS notebooks, but I think it is the same for other manufacturers).
i cant find link to "dd" driver version on AMD site too. i can find only http://www2.ati.com/drivers/mobile/11-5_mobility_vista_win7_32-64_ccc.exe which is CCC only. but i replaced it manualy according to laobrasuca link and it works.

lol? What all this means then?
