Judging by the view count, I'd say that a lot more people than just I are insterested in the potential capabilities of the new Macbook pro models, even though no one is stepping up with any real numbers yet.
Let's face it. No install issues. Snow Leopard "just works" as far as OpenCL goes. Deploying an OpenCL solution to a customer isn't a big issue on the mac. Heck, even PyOpenCL works on the mac, out of the box:

So, let's get started trying to understand what these new models offer us:
They have the HD6750, and the one that looks most interesting to me has 1GB of global memory:

It looks like these have 280 of the new 4-wide VLIW systems. If they are divided into 20 compute units, does this mean we have 14 (instead of 16) threads per work group?
