ATI Stream SDK is now AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) SDK

The same product with a new name

Beginning on January 19, 2011, the ATI Stream SDK's name has changed to the AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing SDK, or APP SDK for short. All of the existing 2.3 features remain unchanged. You can continue to download v2.3 and earlier versions at the APP SDK downloads page:

http://developer.amd.com/gpu/AMDAPPSDK/downloads/Pages/default.aspx

We hope that you'll continue to participate in discussions regarding the SDK and GPGPU in general.

Many thanks for the hard work of renaming all variables.

How is for this 2011 name convention the support of cards released in 2010?

What's driver status for linux for the 6970 card?

Right now that seems a problem. Aticonfig doesn't know it. "unsupported hardware" it says about my XFX 6970 card.

That has a lot of nasty implications that it doesn't support it.

Hi,

Thanks for releasing the SDK & the University kit. The kit has only PPTs, but no video lectures.

I will apreciate if someone could point me to the link for the same.

Thanks,

Heshsham

I think the university kit meant so that faculties can use them to prepare their lectures for students and students can treat them as ref material. Anyhow some good webinars are also available covering topics from basic to advanced.

Thanks !

I/II What is embedded in this sdk:

1. MS Visual Studio - version ?

2. OpenGL - version ?

3. DirectX - version ?

4. Other software ?

II/II Would it be possible to have only the core available for

downloading and installation i.e. one could installa other software

such as Direct X and OpenGL from original vendoes and use the latest version ?

Thanks for your answer in advance!

Hi Raistmer,

The link looks like working for me or do you mean that the downloaded files have some problem?

Hi Raistmer,

The download links are working fine for me. Could provide us more details in case you have problem with the packages.

Is the problem with windows or linux package.

Thanks,
