Working Linux OS/kernel/driver configuration with Radeon HD 6970?

Require a functional software configuration with Cayman boards

I've tried Ubuntu 10.04, then updated the kernel and updated X server.  A colleague has tried CentOS 5.5.

Has anyone had success with the new Cayman boards and Stream SDK v2.3 under Linux?  If so please post your software configuration.

ati-driver-installer-10-12-x86.x86_64.run seems to install fine but aticonfig returns no supported adapters detected.

130 views and nobody has a functioning Cayman board?

ATI folks, can we expect a driver update or hotfix anytime soon?

Although there are some known driver support issues, but the SDK do work with ubuntu 10.04. I am not sure if CentOS is in the list of supported OSes.
