What it the size of 6870 LDS and how many registers are there per CU?

If anyone knows where to find that information it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!

I'm looking into some various GPGPU configurations and would like to know the size of 6870's LDS and the number of registers per CU. I can't find the information anywhere really. Maybe it will come when Cayman is released?

Anyway, any help and a source would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks & Cheers!

I'm pretty sure this hasn't changed from Cypress.

32k LDS and 256 vector registers per core.

Hi!

Ok, thanks. Thats what I thought was the case, but I'v had difficulty finding a good source. Have I missed any documentation regarding Barts?

Again, thank you!

No. Nobody has yet given an in-depth technical talk on NI. As soon as someone puts together a slide deck we'll make sure it's out there.

From a compute point of view, think of the 6870 as roughly the same as Evergreen. The architectural changes are largely outside of the SIMD cores.
