Was this already announced somewhere?

At todays OpenCL webinar it was said that a C++ extension to OpenCL C would be available soon. Apparently developed by AMD to hopefully be included officially in OpenCL as I understood it. Is this already known, and is there more information about it? It's the first I've heard about it at least. Sounds very exciting, though I don't know if I'll have time to use it in my current project.

according to this http://forums.amd.com/devforum/messageview.cfm?catid=390&threadid=135960 it should be support for C++ templates in kernels.

No I mean OpenCL C being extended with C++ features. I had forgotten the slide nou posted though, so I guess it was already known.

The webinar mentioned both templates and class features like inheritance though, but maybe that's for the SDK release after 2.3.
