3840 x 1080 Resolution Support...

ATI Catalyst does not correctly read high resolution EDID

I have a custom monitor with an EDID reported maximum display mode of 3840 x 1080 @ 78Hz.  Under XP, CCC correctly read and reported correct EDID information and allowed me to set high resolutions.  After upgrading to Win7 and Catalyst 10.9, the CCC reports the correct EDID information (monitor name, date, etc.) except for the maximum resolution and refresh rate, it reports 0x0 and 0 Hz.

Furthermore, when I remove the Catalyst drivers, the default Windows driver correctly reads the EDID resolution and refresh rate, and allows me to set it to 3840 x 1080.

From what I can gather, this seems to be a maximum resolution limit that was set in recent ATI Catalyst drivers.  Is ATI going to fix this?  Is there a bypass method?  This is essential to my company's product.

I have narrowed down when the high resolution support went away.  It was killed in Catalyst 9.9.
