is kernel profiler only supported in the full version of VS2008?

there is no devenv.exe in the express edition, but based on this post:

it seems there is a possibility to get around it. Anyone has exprience?

The ATI Stream Profiler requires at least VS2008 Standard.  It should support VS2008 Standard/Professional/Team System.

VS2008 Express is not supported due to the minimum requirement imposed by Microsoft to support VS plugin.

thanks. If there is a plan to develop stand-alone profiler for Win/Linux in the future releases, that would be very helpful.
