AMD/OpenCL SDK doesn't work with any .NET application...

Hi,

In December, I have send (to genaganna) a "sample application" in .NET that use the OpenCL driver... the problem was that when we use .NET UI (WindowsForm or WPF) the OpenCL driver is not able to compile any kernel !!!!!

It is a problem that I have faced and I have also discover that other peoples are unable to use the AMD OpenCL driver with the .NET platform 😞

Don't forget that .NET is the 1st development platform on the MS platform 😛

So, I do this post to check if you have find a solution ?

In order to test this, you can download the "Clootils" project (A simple OpenCL editor with a build feature) ... it will not work with AMD driver.

Download it at : http://sourceforge.net/projects/cloo/

Feel free to contact me if I can help anyway

Thanks

Hi,

I'm also interested in a solution regarding (.NET) GUI apps and OpenCL programs. I presume the problems lie in here: http://forums.amd.com/devforum/messageview.cfm?catid=390&threadid=120337&highlight_key=y&keyword1=console

i.e. ATI's implementation printing messages to the stderr/stdout.

I've tried redirecting them to files but it doesn't work properly.

Are you planning to do anything about this limitation?
