5870 known issues??

I can't get my machine to boot with the 5870. I have 1000W PSU and a MSI K9A Platinum MB.


I've checked the card in another machine that has less of a PSU (750W) but has a MSI K9A2 Platinum MB and it works great.

I'm posting this technical issue here because I'm a developer and I'm developing with ATI Stream and this is the ONLY reason I purchased the 5870.

Ryta, I didn't find anyone that tested it, just a guess, the first K9A was a PCIe 1.0 board, some nVidia PCIe 2.0 GPU had issues when plugged in older motherboards, maybe that's the case for this new GPU?

This could be a problem, but I'm pretty sure the 4870 in the slot now is 2.0 so I'm not sure why that would make a difference.

I haven't yet been able to get help from AMD, HIS or MSI... go figure.
