Multiple Radeon 5870 on Asus P6T7 WS Supercomputer motherboard
Will they work flawlessly for intense OpenCL computing?
Hi,
I'm planning to build up to four AMD Radeon 5870 GPUs on Asus P6T7 WS Supercomputer motherboard (http://asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=9ca8hJfGz483noLk) with Intel Core i7 CPU. This setup will run on a 64-bit GNU/Linux environment (Debian) for scientific OpenCL computing.
Will it work flawlessly? I mean, will I be able to run an OpenCL program using simultaneously all plugged 5870 GPUs?
What is the recommended PSU (model/power) to power four AMD Radeon 5870 on Asus P6T7 with Intel Core i7 CPU?
d.a.a., We do not test on debian, but we do run on Ubunutu so it should work. As for running on all the GPU's, beta4 will detect all GPU's in the system and your app is responsible for loading and executing programs on each CPU.
