Long HDMI/DP Cables Are Uni-Directional

Some HDMI / DP cable manufacturers make the long cables uni-directional (one direction only) to speed up the signal for better performance due to the longer distance between the source and display. Those cables are usually labeled as “TV” and “Source” on either end respectively. Using wrong direction may result in “No Signal” or "Signal Distortion" even though the EDID information is passed on to the graphics card properly.
