Attendees from a wide variety of vertical markets had the opportunity to discover AMD solutions for 3DEXPERIENCE users.

AMD participated in both the conference and TechniFair, and the Leaders’ Summit parallel tracks.

AMD gave a presentation on ‘Delivering 3DEXPERIENCE from the Cloud’. Attendees discovered using CATIA running from the cloud has multiple benefits to optimize productivity and accelerate workflows. AMD explained how virtualized graphics, delivered by AMD, is a key ingredient in the next generation of 3DEXPERIENCE and PLM deployment and offers best practices in supporting PLM infrastructures.

For the first time, AMD demonstrated 3DEXPERIENCE CATIA VR powered by AMD Radeon™ Pro WX 9100 card with the HTC Vive Pro. AMD enabled a high-quality VR experience on the HTC Vive Pro with CATIA’s latest 3DEXPERIENCE R2019x. The back-end rendering was driven by a Dell Precision Tower 7820 with an AMD Radeon™ VR Ready Creator1 Radeon  Pro WX 9100 GPU. Demonstration of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and its VR capabilities was performed by VIAS (www.viascorp.com), an AMD partner and Dassault Systèmes platinum provider.

AMD offered attendees relevant insight into using 3DEXPERIENCE powered by AMD Radeon™ professional graphics to help make them more productive in their commercial and academic fields.

1.   A VR-capable GPU is required for VR:

AMD Radeon™ VR Ready Creator Products are select AMD Radeon™ Pro and AMD FirePro™ GPUs that meet or exceed the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive recommended specifications for video cards/GPUs. Other hardware (including CPU) and system requirements recommended by Oculus Rift or HTC Vive should also be met in order to operate the applicable HMDs as intended. As VR technology, HMDs and other VR hardware and software evolve and/or become available, these criteria may change without notice. PC/System manufacturers may vary configurations, yielding different VR results/performance. Check with your PC or system manufacturer to confirm VR capabilities. GD-101
