Warhorse Studios has launched one of the first big titles of 2018, Kingdom Come Deliverance. It’s an open world RPG set during the 1400s with quite a bit of story and combat all rolled up into one big adventure. For those of you firing up this title, you’ll notice just how beautiful this game looks when you max out your settings.

Firing up our new Ryzen 7 1800X processor-based system with 16GB of DDR4-3000 RAM, we went through the latest graphics cards to come up with settings that consistently gave above 50fps. I used the opening section of the game, where you are really just fulfilling item quests, but there didn’t seem to be a big shift in performance when more characters ended up filling the scene.

The following are the recommended settings:

The only case where I struggled to find a good balance was with the Radeon RX 560 where I flipped between 720p->1080p, and 900p-1080p. This upscaling method is generally used for consoles, where the UI gets rendered at 1080p, while the game itself is upscaled from 900p. It is a good compromise for performance vs image quality, and with additional tweaks with the graphics settings I think we found a real good option for Radeon RX 560 owners.

Make sure you are using the latest Radeon Settings Driver (in my case Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.2.2), to get the latest Day 0 performance enhancements from AMD here.
